Four Kinds

The title of this book arouses curiosity. What does the term “four kinds” mean? We will know the meaning when we study the context in which it occurs in Jeremiah 15:3-6 and other scripture references in the Word of God. This scripture reference is part of the prophecy of the prophet Jeremiah to the people of Judah, which warned them about the four destroyers God would bring against them because of their sins. The four kinds, classes, or species of destroyers were: the sword to slay, the dogs to tear, and the fowls, and the beasts to devour and destroy.
