Introduction, and the first chapters

The person and the purpose are closely related. The man and the mission are connected. Who you are cannot be disassociated from what you do. God shapes the person to suit the purpose.

God designs you for your purpose. If the purpose is big, God ensures that you are big enough to handle it. There is "power from on high" for every "high calling". Many believers feel inadequate for their assignments. Even the giant personalities in the Bible were intimidated in the face of their assignments.

1. POSITIONING. Your ability to appreciate your inadequacies defines the level of your humility. Without humility you cannot sustain success. Humility helps you to position yourself aright.

Knowing what you are not called to do is as important as knowing what you are called to do. The frustration you face in the things you cannot do generates the energy in the things you can do.

2. PREPARATION. Preparation is the mother of performance. Performance does not exceed preparation and performance always resembles preparation.

You perform in the same manner that you prepared. Good preparation always leads to good performance.
